When I began reading the above quote on his website it sounded like a pitch for an original poetry recital or motivational seminar. I reckon that after nearly three months in a vacuum the Team Woods spin doctors have haggled over every letter and nuance. Should I have expected anything less? No questions will be allowed, so this is merely a prepared statement where the only real question to be answered is "When's he teeing it up again?" We know about the past, no one can predict the future, and the only apology that matters in this average golfer's mind is the special one between him and his family.

ReplyDeleteEldrick has earned the bulk of his fortune from his fans, and average golfers. It is true that he would have made a lot of money just playing the game, but that’s not how he earns most of his money. That comes from the many people who turn on the TV when he is in the field. Does Eldrick make shots that nobody else can make? no. So it’s not all about the shots, it’s about ???????, but they watch. And we poor smucks who play armature golf, all he has done for us is raise the price of equipment. So you are wrong, he should give back the money, and apologize. Even if as I believe he won’t mean it, and probably didn’t even write it, ala Barrack who has yet to apologize to his fans. He has shammed us like Al Gore did. If you choose to live, and earn you money with your name, you do owe others. Can’t stand the creep, never fooled me. Just ask our blog host.

I see your point about fooling us with the image and cashing in big time. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that apology or a give back though. We can always vote with the wallet.
